A No for Now 

I'm always posting about the "yes's" that make it through a pitch. Well, here's a "no". It needed to be less somber and more “inspirational” for the client. You live/write and you learn to respect the feedback, knowing the track could find a home somewhere else. And every time a track is written, new insights about the skills required to get to the final product are gained.

They’re looking for a bunch of Mid-to-Up-Tempo Trap Instrumental Cues that would fit well on a playlist with the following references: “Basketball Wives Miami (1:43 – 1:58) LA Hair (0:02 – 0:20) “Basketball Wives LA” (:00 - :22) Please give them well-crafted Dramedy Instrumental Cues with a noticeable Urban vibe, feel, and style. Be sure your production is solid, with contemporary sounding instrumentation. In other words, no dated or obvious pre-stocked synth sounds or drums. Build your Cues around a central melodic theme while adding and subtracting layers of instrumentation as they progress to add dynamics, interest, and forward movement.
